Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has called on Western allies to speed up the supply of air defense equipment to Ukraine after Russia's strike on Poltava, which killed dozens of people.

He said this on CNN.

According to Kuleba, the Russian strike on the military university and hospital in Poltava is “another reason why the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine should be accelerated.

He emphasized that Russia used a ballistic missile that reached the target in a very short period of time, not giving people time to get down to the bomb shelters.

“The only way to intercept a missile is to have a Patriot system or a SAMP/T air defense system, because they are the only ones capable of intercepting ballistic missiles,” the minister said.
“I don't know how many more such tragedies have to happen for all the promises to be fulfilled and all the new commitments to be made,” the Foreign Minister added.
