The State Security Service of Latvia found some direct and indirect calls to join the Russian Wagner group on the network.
This was stated by representatives of the Latvian secret service, Delfi reports.
The State Security Service did not provide any more detailed comments. Representatives of the agency only explained that so far, no outdoor advertising of the group has been found in Latvia.
The State Security Service also reminded that Latvian citizens and non-citizens are prohibited from serving in the armed forces or military organization of another state that threatens the national security of the country.
Violation of this prohibition is punishable by imprisonment for up to four years.
The security service calls on citizens to report any propaganda materials they see or other attempts to recruit Latvians to the Wagner group.
As a reminder, last week, stickers calling to join Wagner's group appeared in Krakow. After that, the Polish Internal Security Agency detained two Russians who were distributing propaganda materials of the Wagner group. Both were charged with espionage.
