Lithuanian customs officers drew up a protocol against a car export company for violating sanctions against Russia.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Lithuanian Customs Department.
The Lithuanian-registered company was fined €13.6 million, and six semi-trailers were seized and confiscated.
The customs reported that the company did not comply with international sanctions during transactions with firms from Kazakhstan, Belarus and Turkey, which led to the detention of vehicles and was considered a violation of sanctions.
This is not the first time that companies have been fined for violating international sanctions following increased control by Lithuanian customs.
