Lithuania will buy Grom anti-aircraft systems from Poland for more than 20 million euros

Lithuania has signed an agreement to purchase Polish Grom anti-aircraft systems worth more than 20 million euros.

This was announced by Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas.

"Today I am meeting with Polish Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Blaszczak in Warsaw. Lithuania has signed an agreement with Poland on the purchase of Grom anti-aircraft weapons worth more than 20 million euros," Anusauskas wrote on Twitter.

On Tuesday, May 30, the fourth Council of Defense Ministers of Poland and Lithuania took place in Warsaw.

During the meeting, the Lithuanian defense minister emphasized that in light of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, NATO must continue to strengthen its forward defense, Polish Radio reports.

"The long-term deterrence of Russia and the response to aggression require an increase in combat capabilities on NATO's eastern flank. Strengthening the Polish Armed Forces is an example for other allied countries to follow.

At the Summit in Vilnius, we are seeking practical solutions to strengthen the defense of NATO's eastern flank and to ensure reliable air and missile defense in the Baltic States," Anusauskas said.
