French President Emmanuel Macron announced the supply of ammunition to Ukraine. At the same time, he ruled out the transfer of fighter jets.
This was reported by Le Figaro.
"France's strategy is simple. It is to help Ukraine to resist, to organize a counteroffensive at the moment it chooses, to be able to bring everyone back to the negotiating table and on the terms it chooses, to build a lasting peace for it," he said.
Macron added that France has already supplied "a lot of weapons" to Ukraine, including Caesar, ammunition and armored vehicles. At the same time, he announced that "new ammunition" would be sent to Ukraine.
However, Macron ruled out at the moment the delivery of fighter jets to Ukraine.
"No, I did not talk about fighter jets (for Ukraine, - ed.), I talked about missiles and training (of military, - ed.). At the moment we are starting preparations. This is an agreement that was made by several European countries," he said.-
We shall remind you that earlier Macron said that France can start training Ukrainian pilots on Western fighters already now.
