Macron: Escalation is not in anyone's interest

In a conversation with the leaders of the UAE and Saudi Arabia, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed concern about the risk of escalation in the Middle East.
Macron wrote about this on X (Twitter).
He said that he had spoken about the current situation in the Middle East with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
"We call on all those involved to show responsibility and restraint to avoid regional escalation," the French president said.
Macron added that escalation in the Middle East "is not in anyone's interest."
