Milley on the counteroffensive: Ukraine is "very well prepared"

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Army General Mark Milley praised the readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the upcoming counteroffensive.

Milley said this in a commentary to CNN.

According to the top U.S. general, Ukraine is waging a war that is an existential threat to Ukraine's very survival and is of greater importance to the rest of the world - to Europe, indeed to the United States, and to the entire globe.

Speaking about the upcoming counteroffensive by Ukrainian forces, Milley noted that Ukraine is very well prepared for it, but it is too early to tell the results.

At the same time, he warned that the incursions into Russia's Belgorod region by Russian volunteer groups could lead to an escalation of the war, and the United States is watching this very, very closely.
