Moldova imports liquefied natural gas from the US for the first time

In the first quarter of this year, Moldova imported liquefied natural gas from the United States, France, Nigeria, and Latvia for the first time.

This is evidenced by data from the National Energy Regulatory Agency of the country, Mold-street.com reports.

Romania is the main supplier of liquefied gas, with a share of 66.5%, which is significantly higher than in the first quarter of 2022, when the share was 39.5%, and Kazakhstan was the main supplier (41.6%).

At the same time, in the first quarter of this year, Moldova imported liquefied natural gas for the first time from France (4.9%), Nigeria (5.5%), Latvia (4.8%), and the United States (3.6%).
