Moldova summoned the Russian ambassador

Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov was summoned to the Foreign Ministry to condemn the pseudo-referendums and the Russian declaration of the annexation of the occupied territories of Ukraine.

As noted, Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu will express to Vasnetsov the position of Chisinau that Moldova does not and will not recognize the pseudo-referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine and calls on Russia to stop its aggression against Ukraine.
"We strongly condemn the attempted illegal annexation of these Ukrainian territories. This contradicts all principles of international law," the Foreign Ministry stressed.
