More than 13.5 thousand people have arrived from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia since the local population was able to leave the region after Azerbaijan's military operation.
This was reported by Radio Azatutyun.
On the morning of August 26, 13,550 people arrived in Armenia. More than 11 thousand have already been registered. People arrived throughout the night by bus, truck, and personal transport.
Those who have no one to go to are looking for accommodation options. The first buildings and hotels that have been allocated for this purpose are already full.
There are also reports that the road from Stepanakert (Azerbaijani name: Khankendi) to the Armenian border town of Kornidzor is overcrowded, with some people waiting in lines for more than a day.
