Navy tells how many Kalibr carriers are in the Black Sea

As of the morning of August 8, two enemy Kalibr cruise missile carriers, which Russia has put on combat duty, were spotted in the Black Sea.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a report by the Ukrainian Navy.

The military clarified that the total volley of the two missile carriers is up to 8 Kalibr missiles.

At the same time, as of 06:00, no Russian ships were spotted in the Sea of Azov.

However, two ships continue to be in the Mediterranean Sea. One of them is a Kalibr missile carrier with a total volley of up to 16 missiles.

In addition, the military reported that during the day, in the interests of Russia, the Kerch Strait was passed:

  • 5 ships sailed to the Black Sea, 4 of which continued to the Bosphorus;
  • 10 vessels sailed to the Sea of Azov, of which 2 were heading from the Bosphorus.

The Navy added that the Russian Federation continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling automatic identification systems (AIS).
