Poland and Lithuania call on the European Union to impose restrictions on the nuclear sector as part of new sanctions against Russia and Belarus.
It is reported by Sky News, citing diplomatic sources.
"Getting the necessary unanimity in the EU to impose new sanctions is becoming more and more difficult. Nevertheless, we will propose an ambitious new package," the senior diplomat said.
Ukraine has already urged the EU to include the Russian state-owned nuclear energy company Rosatom in the next package of sanctions, which so far has been blocked by Hungary in particular.
