The contract is worth 800 million zlotys. “This is the beginning of the implementation of a framework agreement for the supply of 286 Kleszcz transporters in the period from 2026 to 2035,” the ministry said.

The contract with the Polish consortium was signed on the territory of the 1st Warsaw Armored Brigade in Wiesoja in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Defense Vladyslav Kosinyak-Kamysh.

During the ceremony, the head of the Ministry of Defense said that these vehicles are “the eyes and ears of the Polish army.” “I would like to thank everyone who made this deal a reality. Wherever we can, we invest in the national arms industry. This is how we fulfill our obligations,” he said.

The Kleszcz reconnaissance transporter is the result of cooperation within a consortium that includes AMZ KUTNO, the Military Institute of Communications (WIŁ), the Military Institute of Technical Weapons (WITU) and the Military Institute of Chemistry and Radiometry (WICHiR).

According to the Ministry of Defense, the executive contract No. 1 includes 28 vehicles along with a logistics and training package, and its value is about 800 million zlotys.

The ministry said that the Kleszcz transporters will be delivered to the reconnaissance units of the Land Forces, where they will replace outdated post-Soviet armored reconnaissance vehicles of the BRDM-2 family.
