Polish President sets date for parliamentary elections

Polish President Andrzej Duda has scheduled parliamentary elections in the country for October 15.

Duda announced this on Twitter.

"Take part in the elections!


Guided by the content of the positive opinion just received from the State Election Commission on the proposed date of the Sejm and Senate elections, I have decided to schedule these elections for October 15, 2023. The future of Poland is the business of each of us! Exercise your rights!" Duda wrote on Twitter.

A little earlier, Polish media reported the same date.

Since the announcement of the election date, uncontrolled election campaigning has been stopped.
