Portugal has announced that it is joining the so-called coalition of fighter jets, within which it is ready to help train Ukrainian pilots and mechanics.
This was discussed at a meeting between Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Portuguese Foreign Minister João Gomes Cravinho and Defense Minister Elena Carreiras, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
During the meeting, Kuleba told his Portuguese partners about the situation at the front and outlined Ukraine's military needs for effective defense and counteroffensive.
"Portugal has demonstrated leadership by joining the tank coalition. Given the intensification of Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages, it is critically important that Ukraine has the ability to throw Russia out of the Ukrainian sky," he emphasized.
