Russia does not allow a corridor for the evacuation of civilians in the Kursk region. At the same time, the Russian army continues to shell towns and villages.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the spokesman of the Siversk Operational and Tactical Group of Troops Vadym Mysnyk during a telethon.

He noted that the Ukrainian military are talking to residents of the border settlements of the Kursk region

“They (local residents - ed.) say they want peace, that they are out of politics, that everything should stop or they should be given a corridor - an opportunity to leave the combat zone, which Russia does not give,” the spokesman said.

According to him, the Russian army is striking at places where there are no military personnel - cities and villages. The Russians are using guided aerial bombs and drones.

“They recently destroyed the Suji ice arena with a KAB, the day before yesterday they destroyed a boarding school, a fairly modern building, and there are many such examples,” added Mysnyk.

He noted that the Defense Forces are trying to create conditions for normal life in the territories they control. However, most residents of Suzha are forced to spend the night in basements due to intense shelling by the Russian military. Mr. Mysnyk added that the humanitarian situation is difficult.
