Russia has damaged more than 760 cultural heritage sites in Ukraine

During the full-scale invasion, Russia damaged or destroyed 763 cultural heritage sites in Ukraine.

This is reported with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.

According to the ministry, there are 105 objects of national importance, 241 architectural monuments, 185 historical monuments, etc.

Of these, 23 monuments were completely destroyed, 625 were partially damaged, and the extent of damage to 115 remains unknown.

Monuments in the following regions were damaged:

  • Kharkiv region - 207 objects
  • Donetsk region - 100
  • Kherson region - 76
  • Kyiv region - 69
  • Odesa region - 69
  • Chernihiv region - 63
  • Zaporizhzhia region - 35
  • Lviv region - 32
  • Dnipropetrovsk region - 28
  • Luhansk region - 25
  • Sumy region - 25
  • Mykolaiv region - 22
  • Khmelnytsky region - 6
  • Vinnytsia region - 4
  • Zhytomyr region - 2

During the full-scale invasion, 1582 objects of cultural infrastructure were damaged. These include libraries, galleries, museums, etc.
