Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that Russia's aggression against Ukraine is a threat that has global implications.
She said this during a speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue security conference in Singapore, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
"Russia's aggression against Ukraine is not only a European problem or a regional conflict," Callas emphasized.
According to her, Russia is now seeking to destroy another UN member state.
"In Ukraine, the basic principles of the UN Charter and international law, including the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state, are at stake," the Estonian prime minister said.
She also added that the international community must prevent Russia "from implementing this imperial worldview, otherwise, we will find ourselves in a much more dangerous world."
Kallas said that Russia's war against Ukraine demonstrated why the countries of Central and Eastern Europe wanted to join NATO quickly after liberation from Soviet occupation.
