The National Guard of Ukraine captured an enemy drone Zala on the border with Russia. Now the aerial reconnaissance aircraft will help the National Guardsmen to destroy the invaders.
Russians were very proud of this aircraft. They claimed that it was invulnerable to Ukrainian electronic warfare systems, but the National Guardsmen shot it down anyway. The aircraft remained in working condition.
It happened on September 30 on the Ukrainian-Russian border in Goptivka. The National Guard shot down a Russian drone. Ukrainian soldiers shot at this allegedly elusive and silent device with a conventional assault rifle.
When the National Guard saw the drone, they realized that it was the Zala, which the Russians are so proud of. However, after it was disassembled, it turned out that there was not a single Russian part. Except for Velcro, as the military joke.
But the foreign components here are really advanced. Their total cost is about 300 thousand dollars.
Reconnaissance man Zala shoots the terrain, looks for positions, and adjusts artillery. It is equipped with a Japanese camera and a thermal imaging module that can shoot both day and night, as well as transmit information online in any weather conditions.
This device is also quite light, as it weighs just over seven kilograms. Therefore, it can be launched by hand without the use of additional devices. Now the drone will serve the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the aggressor country will not be able to produce such drones.
The military says that due to the sanctions of our Western partners, the Russians are no longer able to produce such UAVs.
