Russians advance in New York, but do not capture it completely

Russian troops have advanced to Dostoevsky Street in Pivnichne (east of Toretsk) and to Gagarin Street in New York, Donetsk region. At the same time, ISW does not confirm the complete capture of New York by the occupiers.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

On August 6, fighting continued to the north and northeast of Kharkiv, but there were no confirmed changes on the front line.

Russian troops continued to advance near Lypky, Tykhy and within Vovchansk. A Russian military blogger claimed that Russian troops had captured a hill near Tykhy, but ISW found no visual evidence to support this claim.

On August 6, Russian forces continued ground attacks along the Kupiansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, but made no confirmed advances.

The fighting continued:

  • north-east of Kupyansk near Synkivka;
  • east of Kupiansk near Petropavlivka;
  • south-east of Kupyansk - Berestove, Pishchane, Tabaivka, Stelmakhivka, Kolisnykivka;
  • north-west of Kreminna near Makiivka, Nevske, Terny;
  • to the west of Kreminna near Torske;
  • southwest of Kreminna in the area of Serebryansky forest.

Russian troops continued ground attacks near Siversk, but there were no confirmed changes on the front line.

The occupants continued ground attacks:

  • north-east of Siversk near Bilohorivka;

east of Siversk near Verkhnekamianske;

  • southeast of Siversk near Ivan-Darivka, Spirne, Vyymka;
  • south of Siversk near Pereizne.
