On the night of August 7, Russian troops struck a residential area in Kherson, causing several fires and injuring a 74-year-old woman.

Prokudin's direct speech: "Last night, the Russian army covered the center of Kherson with fire. The enemy targeted a high-rise building. One of the shells hit the apartment where an elderly Kherson resident lives. It was a miracle she survived. The 74-year-old woman sustained an explosive injury and a head wound. She was treated in the hospital."
She was reportedly taken to the hospital in moderate condition. According to Mrochko, the Russians were shelling the Korabelny district of the city.
