In the temporarily occupied territories, Russians are stepping up repression against Ukrainian citizens who refuse to receive Russian passports.

This was reported by Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov on his Telegram channel.

"Another portion of demonstrative lies from the terrorist Putin: he signed a decree allowing Ukrainian citizens to enter and leave Russia on internal passports and even those that have expired. Instead, in the occupation, people are being forced to take Russian passports because of terror and threats. Anyone who does not have an ausweis is thoroughly interrogated both at the checkpoint in Chongar and at the borders of Russia with other countries. People are filtered for hours and even for several days, filling out meaningless questionnaires, and having their fingerprints and DNA taken. Without a passport to the TOT, it is almost impossible to receive social assistance. It is impossible to enroll children in schools and kindergartens," said Ivan Fedorov.
