Russians shelled the center of Kharkiv, hitting dense residential areas
Russians struck at the central district of Kharkiv. There is a threat of continued shelling.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel of Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov.
According to Terekhov, the enemy hit a dense residential area, causing a fire. Information about the damage and casualties is currently being clarified.
"Be careful - the shelling may continue," the mayor added.
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (RMA), Oleh Syniehubov, emergency services have already arrived at the site of the hit.
It should be added that the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) warned at 9:40 a.m. about the activity of enemy tactical aircraft in the northeast and the threat of using air strikes on the frontline regions. Later, they also warned of the threat of ballistic missile attacks from the east.
