Ukrainian defenders are demonstrating very precise and well-organized actions in the war against the Russian occupiers.
This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at a press conference with his Romanian counterpart Marcel Ciolacu, CNN reports.
According to Scholz, he “never expected that everything would change from one day to the next” in Russia's war against Ukraine, but noted that the Ukrainian military had been planning operations "in a very targeted way."
The German chancellor added that an important point is "NATO's great practical support for Ukraine", which will continue.
"Germany has "created the conditions to support Ukraine even for a long time if the war lasts for a long time," he added, saying that many countries will be able to support Kyiv "for one, two, three, and if need be, more years, because we don't know how long the military conflict will last."
As a reminder, since the beginning of summer, Ukrainian troops have been active at the front. They are advancing on several fronts and are succeeding. In particular, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already liberated nine settlements in the southeast.
At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers are advancing in the Bakhmut sector, where they are trying to surround the enemy group in Bakhmut.
As President Volodymyr Zelensky noted earlier, Ukraine wants to show results on the frontline before the NATO summit, which will take place on July 11-12 in Vilnius.
