A tanker with liquefied natural gas arrived at a Russian sanctioned terminal. This is the second such case.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Bloomberg.
Satellite images show that a second liquefied natural gas tanker has docked at an export terminal in northern Russia that is under US sanctions.
According to the newspaper, the ship's appearance and length of approximately 290 meters corresponds to Asya Energy ships. Its arrival follows the apparent export of the first cargo of the Arctic LNG 2 plant earlier this month on another vessel that also concealed its true location and belonged to the same Indian company.
Asya Energy is part of a suspected "dark fleet" of LNG vessels that Moscow is building to transport gas to willing buyers, similar to the group of ships assembled to transport Russian oil.
Traders are still keeping a close eye on Pioneer, the first tanker to dock at an Arctic facility that has struggled to start exports due to Western restrictions, as it makes its way to Europe.
It is worth noting that back in November, the US imposed sanctions to prevent the start of exports from Arctic LNG 2.
