Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal discussed with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Canada's participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, Shmyhal reported this in his Telegram.
"I am glad to meet with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau in Kyiv. First of all, I thanked him for an additional $400 million in military aid," Shmyhal said.
According to him, countries are facing huge challenges today.
According to Shmyhal, another terrorist attack by Russia at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant has led to the largest man-made disaster in Europe in decades.
"We are grateful to Canada for its immediate support in this difficult situation. We will definitely restore everything. We have discussed Canada's participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine," Shmyhal said.-
The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to the Canadian government for the abolition of all duties and quotas for Ukrainian products for one year. "Our negotiating teams are also finalizing preparations for an updated Free Trade Agreement. We expect to sign it as soon as possible," he said.
In addition, Shmyhal expressed confidence that Canada will continue to show leadership in decisions in support of Ukraine.
