Slovakia will block the 12th package of EU sanctions against Russia if the sanctions are extended to Russian fuel for nuclear power plants. This was stated by Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar on national television, TARS reports.
Blanar said that sanctions should not include Russian nuclear fuel, as Slovak nuclear power plants have not yet been converted to use nuclear fuel from other sources, and that this is a "red line" for the Slovak government.
The minister also repeated the Kremlin's propaganda that the sanctions still "did not stop Russia," but hit the EU economy, including Slovakia.
According to him, the government supports financial assistance to Ukraine, but "under certain conditions" - it must be "spent as intended" and "the money should not disappear."
