South Africa supports the “peace plan” to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war proposed by China and Brazil.
This was stated by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa following a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, RBC-Ukraine reports citing CCTV.
According to him, South Africa supports the six-point consensus proposed by China and Brazil to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
“There is a high level of political trust between China and South Africa. There is a deep traditional friendship between the countries. Our positions and goals on many issues coincide,” Ramaphosa said.
The South African President is currently on an official visit to China. There, he plans to take part in the Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which will be held from September 4 to 6.
