Spain will send Ukraine two more HAWK SAMs

Spain will send two more American-made HAWK systems to Ukraine in addition to the four delivered last week, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said on Thursday, UNN reports citing Reuters.
"I can tell you that two more launchers will be sent. This is in response to a very specific request made to us by NATO and Ukraine," Robles told reporters in Madrid.
In addition to the anti-aircraft missile launchers, Spain will send a battery of six light howitzers and train Ukrainian howitzer crews, Robles said, adding that Spain is helping Ukraine because the country exercises the right to self-defense.
