The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed Ukraine's accession to NATO with the President of the Senate of the Italian Republic Inizio La Russa.
According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Verkhovna Rada reported this on Telegram.
"An extremely important issue is Ukraine's accession to NATO. This topic was raised during a conversation in the format of a video conference with the President of the Senate of the Italian Republic Inizio La Russa. A number of parliaments have supported our membership in the Alliance. That is why I called on the Italian Parliament to make a decision in favor of inviting Ukraine to join NATO at the Alliance's summit in Vilnius," the press service quoted Stefanchuk as saying.
