NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has not ruled out that the allies will decide to send Western fighter jets to Ukraine.
He said this in an interview with the Guardian.
The NATO chief did not rule out that member states would go further in supplying weapons and send Ukraine F-16s or other Western aircraft, following President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's emotional call for "wings for freedom" in February.
"We have to continue to look at the need for more capabilities," Stoltenberg said, emphasizing that despite US President Joe Biden's initial apparent refusal to provide US-made fighters, no decisions have been made on F-16s.
