Sweden has authorized the use of its weapons against targets in the Russian Federation.
This was stated by Defense Minister Paul Johnson, Hallandsposten reports.
“Under international law, Ukraine has the right to self-defense, including the possibility of military action on enemy territory in accordance with international norms of war. Sweden supports international law and Ukraine's right to self-defense,” he said.
It should be added that Ukraine received Archer artillery systems from Sweden, and in 2023, the Swedish parliament approved the sale of Jaktrobot Rb 99 air-to-air missiles (with a range of up to 70 km) to the United States. These missiles were to be delivered to Ukraine through cooperation with the United States. However, it remains unknown whether this deal was implemented.
