The head of the Bundestag Defense Committee, Marie-Agnes Straka-Zimmermann, called on the German government to immediately supply Ukraine with long-range Taurus missiles.
She said this in an interview with the Funke-Mediengruppe media group, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
According to her, through the targeted use of these missiles, the Ukrainian army can seriously disrupt Russian logistics. At the same time, she believes that it should be recognized that Kyiv can use Taurus to attack targets in the Russian Federation itself.
"International law also allows Ukraine to attack military targets on the territory of the Russian aggressor. Regardless of where these weapons were produced and who supplied them," said Straka-Zimmerman.
She also warned German Chancellor Olaf Scholz against further delays in the delivery of missiles, which have been discussed for six months.
"Each of us is weighing everything (whether to supply missiles or not). But if we delay, we can only prolong the suffering," explained Straka-Zimmerman.-
