So far, the Czech Republic has saved 850 million cubic meters of natural gas year after year.
This was reported by Czech Radio.
Thus, the country has fulfilled the standard set by the European Union to reduce the consumption of this type of fuel in winter by 15%. The information was announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
At present, the gas reserves in Czech storage facilities are twice as much as during the same period last year. This circumstance, in particular, affects the actual fall of the price of blue fuel on the market.
Analysts point out that warm weather and citizens' approach to spending strategic fuel, which, in turn, is caused by high energy prices, allowed them to save gas.
