Russian troops are actively using ammunition with poisonous substances against Ukrainian defenders. According to the military, this happens every day.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Dmytro Lykhoviy, a spokesman for the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops, during a telethon.
He noted that the use of drones in the Tavria's area of responsibility has already equaled artillery in terms of the number of uses. The difference is that a drone can drop a single shell, while artillery fires several at once.
"Every day the enemy uses ammunition with poisonous substances. Out of 536 munitions dropped from copters yesterday, 11 were with poisonous substances," said the spokesman.
Lykhoviy noted that information about the use of chemical weapons is transmitted to the Support Forces, which investigate each case. This information is then passed on to international organizations.
