On Thursday, August 8, Belgian Ambassador to Ukraine Luc Jacobs presented his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinos.

The parties also discussed Belgium's further involvement in promoting the Ukrainian "peace formula," support for Ukraine's path to EU and NATO membership, and bilateral relations.

"The Belgian diplomat assured of his determination to make every effort to further develop cooperation between Kyiv and Brussels," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry added.

Luc Jacobs has been working in the Belgian diplomatic service since 1986, including at the country's permanent mission to the European Union and Poland. In 2014-2018, he was already ambassador to Ukraine, after which he was replaced by Alex Lenarts, who worked until 2022.
