The United States wants to know what is happening in the Kursk region
U.S. officials want to contact their Ukrainian counterparts to find out what is happening in Russia's Kursk region.
This was stated by John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator for the White House National Security Council, at a briefing on Wednesday, August 7, as quoted by Bloomberg.
According to Kirby, US officials will "reach out to our Ukrainian counterparts to get a little better understanding" of the situation in the Kursk region.
He added that in this regard, the American side has not changed its policy of allowing Ukraine to use American weapons "to combat immediate threats across the border."
On Tuesday, August 6, the Russians reported that Ukraine had attempted to break through into the Kursk region.
