The United States will continue to support Ukraine and help it build the "army of the future."
This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during a visit to Finland, Reuters reports.
According to him, such an army will include "modern air forces, integrated air and missile defense, modern tanks and armored vehicles, national ammunition production capacity, as well as training to maintain the combat readiness of forces and means".
Blinken emphasized that the United States would encourage peace initiatives for Ukraine by others.
At the same time, Washington will continue to support Ukraine militarily, as a prerequisite for effective diplomacy is Kyiv's ability to deter and defend itself against aggression, the secretary of state added.
