Partners and allies should determine for themselves what military support, in particular heavy weapons, to provide to Ukraine.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a briefing by White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre.

"The President (Joe Biden – ed.) believes that each country should make its own sovereign decisions about what steps regarding security assistance it can take and what equipment it can give to Ukraine," the official noted.

This is how Jean-Pierre responded to a question about German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's statement about Berlin's readiness to transfer Leopard tanks to Kyiv only after Washington supplies Abrams.

At the same time, the White House spokeswoman pointed out that the USA was the largest provider of security and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
