The White House has stated that Russia's military cooperation with the DPRK is dangerous not only for Ukraine but also for the countries of the Pacific region.
This was stated by John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator for the White House National Security Council, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
He was commenting on Russia's use of North Korean ballistic missiles to attack Ukraine, including the latest attack on the Kyiv region.
The White House spokesman said he could not confirm that North Korean missiles were used, but added that "if true, it is consistent with what Putin wants to do with North Korean military capabilities."
"We have been talking about this for quite some time: Putin is desperate, he's desperate for help and military capabilities... He's desperate to turn to countries like Iran and North Korea for help, and that's dangerous, obviously, for the people of Ukraine, for their energy infrastructure, but it's also dangerous for the Pacific region," Kirby said.
According to him, the development of defense relations between North Korea and Russia will have implications for collective security and security in the Pacific region.
