Turkey may ratify Sweden's accession to NATO in October

Turkey may ratify Sweden's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance. The discussion will take place in the middle of next month.
This was announced by the new chairman of the US Senate for Foreign Relations Ben Cardin, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Reuters.
Cardin said he discussed Sweden's accession to NATO with Turkish officials at a meeting of NATO ambassadors.
"They claim that it will be done in the first half of next month... If this is true, at least the NATO issue is resolved, but there are other issues besides NATO membership that should be part of our discussions as we move forward," he said.
