The U.S. has placed on the sanctions list seven people in senior positions at Qods Aviation Industries (QAI), the Iranian defense manufacturer responsible for the development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as the Iranian Aerospace Industries Organization, responsible for overseeing Iran's ballistic missile development programs.

"Today's action is in compliance with Resolution 13382 and follows our September and November determinations of individuals and entities involved in the production and transfer of Iran's Shahed and Mohajer series UAVs, which Moscow continues to use in its brutal attacks against Ukraine, including against its critical infrastructure," the statement said.
