The permanent representatives of the member states of the European Union in Brussels again failed to agree on the tenth package of sanctions against Russia on Friday, the day when the restrictions should have already come into force.
This is reported by Reuters citing sources.
Negotiations have been stuck on the issue of rubber trade with Russia for the third day in a row. Poland reportedly rejected Italy's demand to ease new restrictions on rubber imports.
According to Reuters, Poland said the proposed restrictions on Russian rubber imports to the EU involve such a large quota of withdrawn imports and such long transition periods that they would have no effect in practice.
