Ukraine attracted $1 billion at a conference in France
As a result of an international conference in France Ukraine has attracted about 1 billion dollars. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in the Telegram channel, reports Ukrainskie Novyny.
"About $1 billion Ukraine attracted as a result of the international conference "Solidarity with the Ukrainian people", which was held today in Paris. Half of them are grant funds. The second half - goods, works, loans, most of which we'll get this year. The main result of the day is quite concrete assistance to Ukraine so that we could pass this winter with the least losses," he wrote.
Shmygal also said that the conference resulted in the creation of an effective and efficient platform of solidarity with Ukraine, which will summarize information about Ukraine's needs and provide a mechanism for an instant response from partners.
He also said that at the conference a program of replacing 50 million old bulbs with new LED lamps to save 1 GW of electricity and reduce the deficit in the network had been initiated. The purchase of 30 million LED lamps will be financed by the European Commission.
Shmygal stressed that Russia will not be able to plunge Ukraine into cold and darkness, Ukraine with the support of friends will survive.
