Ukraine denies any involvement in undermining Nord Stream

Aug 15, 2024

Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak denied Ukraine's involvement in the undermining of Russia's Nord Stream pipeline in the Baltic Sea and pointed a finger at Russia.

He said this in a commentary to Reuters on Thursday, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.

Podolyak noted that such an act could only be carried out if there were large technical and financial resources.

“And who had all this at the time of the explosion? Only Russia,” the Ukrainian presidential adviser said.
“Ukraine has nothing to do with the Nord Stream explosions,” Podolyak assured, adding that Ukraine did not gain any strategic or tactical advantage from the explosions.
