Ukraine has a clear vision of what to consider its victory in the Russian-Ukrainian war, and has already made sure that it is shared by its partners, in particular the United States of America. It was stated by the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak at a joint press conference with U.S. Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
According to him, Ukraine has already communicated to partners what it considers a victory. In particular, Yermak insists that this plan should include full de-occupation of all territories of Ukraine (including Donbas and Crimea), payment of reparations by Russia and international guarantees that will not allow Russia to attack again. "We have clearly formulated our understanding of victory. This is the return of territorial integrity, this is compensation for everything that the invaders did to our country, this is the return of all our people from captivity, and this is the return of the world to a clear system of international security. These are the security guarantees that Ukraine needs so that it can never happen again in the future," he said.
The Head of the Presidential Administration emphasized that this vision was agreed upon with the United States, whose representative Jake Sullivan attended the meeting. "Our understanding of victory fully coincides with the understanding of our partners, this is the most important thing," he said. - We have no disagreements - our main partners, the United States, our partners - Britain, Germany, France - say that they will support us to victory."
