Ukraine has nothing to do with drone attacks on Moscow

Ukraine, of course, has nothing to do with drone attacks on Moscow, because our country does not need to do so.

Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Presidential Office, said this during the United News telethon, answering the question of whether these strikes could be of strategic importance to anyone, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Of course, Ukraine has nothing to do with it. We don't need to do this because we have important enough tasks to carry out large-scale strikes using scarce weapons, including missiles and drones, on the occupied territory. Secondly, we are much more concerned about the strikes that Russia conducts on our capital every night," he said.

According to him, any strikes, the number of which is growing significantly in the internal space of Russia, are not of strategic importance for Ukraine.

"But it is of strategic importance for other purposes. And I will say that these drone attacks, especially on Rublevka, have shown several things," the advisor to the head of the OP clarified.

He noted that these drones are small and fly a short distance.

"Let me remind you that on May 9, certain decisions were made (to ban the use of drones in the Central Federal District). But you can see that they calmly took off from the Moscow region or any other region near the Moscow region and went on their way to Moscow. And what (they - ed.) showed was the absolute technical clumsiness of Russia today," Podolyak believes.

According to him, neither Pantsiri nor REBs work, and this shocked the Russian political elite in particular.

Answering the question of what the political implications of the fact that Russian oligarchs and MPs saw this technical clumsiness could be, he suggested that it would most likely lead to the acceleration of the final desacralization of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his inner circle, who for some time seemed to be the titans on whom everything rested.

Separately, the advisor to the head of the OP expressed the opinion that this should accelerate the fall of the concept of mobilization.

"Because the mobilized realize that even if nothing is controlled in the center of Russia, they are certainly just living meat in the war, which will be used to delay the advance of Ukrainians for a while," Podoliak said.
-

He said that several things are obvious to Russia's political elite, and one of them is that no one controls anything.

According to him, representatives of the Russian political elite will not return to pre-war times and will not be able to attend the Grammy Awards and sit next to representatives of the global cultural elite as if nothing had happened, will not be able to buy assets in other countries, and so on.

"But at least they are now thinking about how to protect themselves from the absolute obvious, which will happen in the very near future, you know, this 'crazy Russian revolt,'" said the advisor to the head of the OP.
