Ukraine is preparing import restrictions on Moldova

Ukraine is preparing import restrictions on Moldova in response to Chisinau's decision.
Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture and Trade Representative of Ukraine, told RBC-Ukraine in a commentary.
"We have informed Chisinau that any restriction by Moldova will be considered an extremely unfriendly step and will entail an immediate ban on all imports from Moldova," he said.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy expressed disagreement with Moldova's intentions to restrict imports of wheat, corn, rapeseed, and sunflower from Ukraine. Minister Nikolai Solsky called the reasons voiced by Chisinau unclear, as Ukraine does not import these crops to Moldova.
The ministry also stated that negotiations between Ukraine and Moldova will continue.
