Ukraine resumes electricity exports to Poland after a week-long break

May 8, 2023

On Monday, May 8, Ukraine resumed electricity exports to Poland, which had not been carried out since May 1.

This is evidenced by data from the Entso-E Transparency Platform, ExPro reports.

Ukraine has not exported electricity to Poland since May 1. NPC Ukrenergo explained this by the lack of demand in the neighboring country.

According to the auction platform of NPC Ukrenergo, the proposed capacity for the evening peak hours has been reduced to 0 MW, and 75 MW for other hours. Only one company, DTEK Zakhidenergo, is buying the cross-section.
