Ukraine will not go to the World Judo Championships because a Russian military officer was allowed to compete. This was reported by the Ukrainian Judo Federation.

"The International Judo Federation, as always, at the last minute, allowed seven Russian athletes, one of whom is an active serviceman, to participate in the World Junior Championships in a neutral status. Therefore, the Ukrainian national team refused to participate in the World Junior Championships," said Mykhailo Koshlyak, President of the Ukrainian Sports Federation.

It was emphasized that a former Russian military officer went to the performance on behalf of the enemy.

As a reminder, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin wants the world to get tired of Ukraine. However, the meeting of EU ministers that took place in Kyiv on October 2 proves that he is not succeeding. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba following the meeting.

According to the Ukrainian foreign minister, the visit of EU ministers to Kyiv is not just a gesture of symbolic support.

"We will always find a solution, and Putin's biggest expectation is that the West and the world will get tired of standing by Ukraine in this war. Russia is directing huge resources to this. But we should not play along. I am referring to those experts and journalists who spread these theses. Because there is a clear understanding that Russia today is a threat to the whole of Europe, and in a broader sense, to the whole world. But we have unity," Kuleba emphasized.
